Well I've scratched the itch, and after a lot of ABing and weighing up, I've come to the conclusion that I just prefer my pedals, so this incredible unit is up for sale. Unbelievable sounds, so flexible, believe the hype from @Wazmeister and others, it's great, especially the drives. In mint condition, with latest firmware updates, with power supply and original box, etc.

Looking for what I paid for it. £870 £820 delivered or £850 £800 collected (London area). PM if you're interested. Cheers!

Thanks, just wanted to be fair and offer it at the same price that I paid to @cbellanga (thanks again, Claudio, for all your help, amazing piece of kit, but the pedals won out).

Would love to try one. I can't help but feel it would suit my current band perfectly. But I got to try the ES thing first now I finally have all the bits :)

Blimey that's the third FX8 on sale here right now. Kind of want to scratch the itch too but almost certain I would also prefer my pedals.

    NO!

*ahem* :) Sorry... no, I want to get another amp. The Mesa's amazing, but I miss BF Fender tones.

I do still believe that the reverb and delays remain some of the best Ive heard anywhere...

I absolutely agree. I actually think the modulation holds up very well too. The CE-2 emulation is fantastic, as is the Phase 90.

The North and South Church reverbs are my favourite ever, anywhere (Big Sky included)

They are great, the ability to route pitch through them in isolation is really cool too.

The more I think about the FX8 and what it's got in common with the Axe FX, the drive's are really good too. Been astounded by the sheer amount of control over every parameter imaginable - it can be made as simple or as complex as you want it to be. And there's a really good Muff in there too!
