Here's mine:

OBNE Procession Reverb and JHS colorbox would be on my list.

Not terrible, but there are a few pedals (including expensive ones) I bought that I really liked in the shop but was less impressed when I got home and used them with my gear. Including...

    Bogner Ecstasy Blue
    Catalinbread 5f6
    Marshall Shredmaster

I haven't actually sold any of them because I do still use them sometimes, but if I really needed the money they'd probably have to go.

I liked the Procession Reverb, but the MXR M300 is more my thing.
TC Electronic Trinity 2 left me a bit cold.
Hated every compressor I've ever tried.  I just don't get compressors...

  • I thought the Procession was a tad gimmicky, it just didn't feel like a reverb to me compared to my Dr Scientist Reverberator. The hold function was a nice feature but the reverbs/filters were a no for me.
The Dod Milk Box was unusable, I know some compressors add noise but this took the piss.

    Roger Linn AdrenaLinn III

I should have known better really, since I had a MkI which lasted about a year before I finally accepted that I just couldn't integrate it effectively into my setup. For some reason I thought I would give it another go, so I bought a III… which was even worse. Put it up for sale after a day, literally.

Nor me. I've currently got a Boss CS-2 which I was given as a present, but I still don't like it.

You both should try a Fairfield Circuitry Accountant.

  • Analogman Peppermint fuzz was another one, I was expecting great things but it just didn't work with my setup at all. Analogman clone chorus now that was beautiful and lush sounding chorus and a very solid pedal.

Blackout effectors Sibling is the one that strings to mind, was really looking forward to it being a higher quality Small Stone type, bit it was back in its box to go back within half an hour.

TC Röttweiler Distortion - I have yet to plug it into an amp and make a sound that I want.  From the TC videos I thought I was going to sound like Metallica.

    [Korg Miku]

Yes - when Guitar Guitar had them on special offer.

I did keep it about a month before I sold it . (For what I'd paid for it.)

It just wasn't varied enough really - it did one thing that was quite cool, but most of the sounds were too similar to each other, and it didn't have enough control. If I remember rightly there was an annoying volume change too (up, I think).

Not unless they put it in a decent enclosure with proper switching.

An Electro Harmonix Nano Muff, and Double Muff. Thankfully quite a cheap error of judgement, but still, I've bought and sold three separate single versions, and I'm on my second double muff having sold the first. I'm not sure why I keep thinking that the pedal I disliked with whatever set up I used it in before will suddenly become a wonderfully excellent fuzz if I buy another. They are not versatile, they can only go first in the chain and not after any active pickups, and they are extremely woolly.

Anybody want to buy my current double muff? ;)
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

Did it sound mainly like a weird freaky Japanese voice?

I'm tempted to get one just to do a few prank phone calls;)

Analogman King of Tone and Beano Boost. Lusted after both and thought they were completely anodyne.

Eventide H9 - a few days of 'wow this is immensely powerful' followed by 'what a pain this is to use for me'.

Source Audio Nemesis. Sounded good, but something about it was just too synthetic - same went for the Vertigo trem.

  • Fulltone fulldrive.

Bleurgh. Muddy, overly smooth, like an extreme tubescreamer.

Ehx double muff. Tried it on its own and was amazed and the dynamics and range of tones, fell in love. Put it after buffers - shit. Put it *before* buffers - shit. Put it before *anything!!* and it just became flat and lost all dynamics. Very strange pedal. If someone fixed that, it'd be amazing - it's the only pedal I've ever used that didn't work with a buffer after it, and I don't really know why.

Maybe @ICBM will know the physics.
