I figured that I should love the Brian Pern stuff, but the truth is I find it lacking in pretty much every department. Every time a programme comes on, I give it a pained 5 minutes or so before turning over. It's trying too hard to be a funny but serious documentary. Spinal Tap set the bar so high.

First four solo albums for me...anything else is crap.

Who was the Thotch bassist? Looked like James May in a wig in some of the earlier shots, but not in the contemporary ones.
