    Diet - Less junk, takeaways and fizzy drinks, more low fat healthy stuff

    No tips as yet but more lean muscle helps burn fat, so I'm looking to start getting all muscle tone over the next couple of months :)

    Diet:   I'm giving Keto a try (low carb)
    Tips: 

    1. Track food (MyFitnessPal, LifeSum etc) 
    2. Initially plan the meals (eg prior to week 1 I prepared the weeks meals from this Keto-friendly menu : https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/one_week_meal_plan and also made a load of bone broth : https://ketodietapp.com/Blog/post/2015/01/13/Keto-Bone-Broth
    Today I'm making slow-cooker Goulash for the week using some of that broth too)

    Today - 14 stone 8.

    Target - 10 stone 7.

    Diet: simply healthy. Control amount of fat and sugar, make sure each meal is a minimum of 1/3rd vegetables. I don't want to rebound, and last time I simply cut out crap food it worked.

    Essentially based on slimming world, but with some changes (i allow soya yogurt despite its fat content as it has so little sugar compared to Muller light yogs, which are considered free). 

    Also working towards fitness - regular cycle rides, mini workouts, walks. So I'll post updates to that too.

    40/40/20 protein/carb/fat macro.
    No junk food, still no booze.
    Running every day as I always do.

    Start weight: 13 stone exactly
    Target weight: 11 stone lowest, 12 stone highest. Not sure on an actual figure. All I know is that I look shit at 10 stone and too big at 13 stone. Bang in the middle will be good.

    Planned diet: as little shite as possible.
    Alcohol: I won't quit it as I drink so rarely. Once every two months usually.
    Fags: I will quit these dirty little bitches though.
    Running and exercise: I walk a lot anyway but I'm aiming for 10km of running/cycling/something in addition to this each day if I can do it.

    When I get there I shall reward myself in some way.

    Diet: Need to cut out the crap and the snacks, meals basically OK at the moment, drink less booze
    Tips: Daily exercise of some sort and keeping it varied. I run usually 2/3 times a week, swim 2/3 times a week and fill in the gaps with a bit of HIIT using an iPhone app (8Fit). 

    The HIIT has done most in changing my shape so will be keeping that up. It's all body weight stuff, so you can literally do it in 15 mins at home and has been a big find for me in making sure I exercise daily.

    Start weight: 216 1/2 lbs (15.5 stone). 
    Target: 180lbs (12.8 stone) within the first month. 
    Diet: Cut down coke, portions and add healthier options in. 

    Tips: Dont worry if you miss a day or 2, just crack on when you can. 
    Keep track of what you do, feels good looking back on it and it also keeps a plan clear in your mind. 
    The only easy day, was yesterday...

    Target weight - no idea.

    We don't have any scales at home and I'm fucked if I can work out the one on the gym! Il try and work it out next time I'm there.

    I've been a good 13.5 stones in the past - probably 12.5 these days. But my actual weight will be meaningless. My ideal weight will be when I've got rid of more excess body fat and am comfortable with myself.

    I have been going to the gym since August fairly regularly. Do 2k on rower, a 'circuit' of weight stations and free weights. Not too heavy at the moment. Another 2k row then sauna or home depending on the time.

    The above takes 40/50 mins and is constant work out. No long rests between sets.

    In addition I've carried on the press-up challenge that @octatonic started before Xmas. Not every day but several times a week anywhere between 30 and 60 push ups. I've also recently thrown in sit ups  and leg raises.

    The above plan continues until the Summer. Then I might review it and look at targeting specific goals. I'm 40 next year and want to be in good shape and maintain it thereafter for as long as I can.

    Also eating less shit and generally asking myself if I'm hungry or eating for the sake of it. 

    Have dropped at least one waist size probably more like two. I used to be a 36 in some trousers. Now I'm 32.

    Heres what I am after:

    WEIGHT NOW: 18stone 11 lbs
    TARGET WEIGHT: 15stone (although what i really want is 10% body fat and a 32" waist.)

    How I am going to do it: I'm going to try and cut out all processed sugars and carbs such as white bread, chocolate, biscuits, beer etc I will replace all of these with fruit, veg and lean protein such as chicken.

    I've done this trip before and it worked for me: So I aim to run  calorie deficit of 7000 a week which equates to approximately 2lbs of fat(give or take) in caloric value. All the exercise I aim to do will be either High intensity or heavy weights. The core of this will be the Insanity fitness programme... which works a charm. the weights will be pyramid based starting heavy and working to failure.

    Top Tip: The aim of the fitness side is to ensure i attain the elusive after effect of ramping my metabolism for hours so that i continue to burn calories whilst resting. Also I aim to maintain and increase muscle mass that will help burn calories throughout the day.

    Much easier said than done, however I have a baby on the way and want to be energetic rather than lethargic.
