    A stunning result considering I've had a week on all inclusive in Gran Canaria. It's been hard not hammering the booze and sweets but very easy to load up on fruit and veg. It's going to be much harder next week I think.

    I've consciously avoided cheese and crisps but again it's been easy to choose the good stuff in front of my family.

    if your arm only ways 5lbs.... you must have a pipe cleaners instead of something useful. (congrats on the loss though)

    I will not stand on them again until they learn to play nice
    once I have stopped feeling sorry for myself I will recommit to a more focussed week of weight reduction efforts and will post again next Monday ... in the meantime I'm off to the gym ...

    Well hilariously I have lost 1lb and am now 16 6 

    I say hilariously as because of my birthday over the past week I have consumed:
    A 8 pint barrel of beer
    2 bottles of champagne
    various bottles of red wine and cider.
    A huge cheesecake covered in mini eggs (my birthday cake)
    A massive basket of cheese
    A huge fryup + lots of other big dinners
    myriad easter chocolates

    I have run 2 7ks and an 8k over that time, but nowhere near enough to burn all that.

    I may write a diet book :)

    Eat less, exercise more. 

    I did lose a lot of weight in 2015 but put it back on. I also suffer from a lack of discipline. A recent birthday and Easter are a problem. That M and M egg isnt going to eat itself. 
    After one week I'm now 13 3/4 stone. I've cut carbs as much as possible. I'm limiting bread to one slice or one roll a day. I've cut out sweet stuff as much as possible. I'm eating a banana for breakfast or lunch. Main meal at 6pm is grilled chicken with veg and a little pasta, rice or potato.

    I've cut down the portions and halved the dinner. 

    I'm probably losing too much to soon but that's the only way I can do it.

  • Forgot to update. Apologies!

    End of week one, no weight gained, none lost - unsurprising. It's been an oddly tough week (I know, no excuses...), but I'm back on it now, and have been more active, eaten better food etc. On the plus side, it still means I've gone from 15 stone to 14 stone 7 this year. 

    Here is to this time next week though, eh? Congrats to all who have done better than myself, seeing you guys is helping keep me somewhat motivated. If not, I'd have binged far harder than I have done.

    Week 1:       90.8kg 

    Week 2:       89.7kg

    It`s moving downwards which is good, no major diet change just less bad stuff and slightly less in general also trying not to snack.
    Exercise has been cycling 15k an evening since last Sunday with last night off to have a few beers and unwind.

    Keep going all, this thread is really helping me keep on track.

    not a great week, on call again so late eating, lack of sleep and inevitable McDonalds. 

    But scale is moving in the right direction.

    Bit varied this week and I don't weigh until tomorrow morning. However, I keep stepping on the scales which you aren't meant to do, although now realising I can vary at least a couple of pounds across a day  has reinforced how unhelpful it as at least. See what tomorrow brings... :anguished:

    Hate to rain on the parade, but your average fat person's poo can weigh in at in excess of one lb.  But well done, 6 odd lbs is a lot.
