    Unconventional neck joint there.

Do you like it? Years of research and thousands of different patents in what you see in those two pictures!

Thanks, having it translucent blue with gold hardware, Wenge neck and an ebony fingerboard and two spangly humbuckers.

No it has to be gold because that's what I have however if it doesn't look right ill swap it all for chrome just to keep the peace!

Nickel would be more subtle than gold or chrome - IMHO (worked well on my green strat)

Wow looks stunning well done on the build tough decision on hardware you have to go with your gut feeling mine was black on my current build but keep up the good work

I'm hoping the gold hardware will complement the darker brown of the neck and Finger board have a brass nut for it too .

Looking good :)   Nice blue - what dye / stain have you used?

Keda aniline dye powder, never used it before but its really good and you can just keep adding the powder untill you get the desired colour.

Looking great ! I feel your pain on the wenge though, I had a wenge neck I wanted to change the profile of once, and it was so hard most tools wouldn't make a dent in it.

Yes the wenge looks great but I could have made four walnut necks in the time its taken all with spokeshaves too!

Wenge carves pretty well with Japanese saw rasps and 60g sanding blocks.  I wouldn't consider using a bladed tool on it apart from final scraping to shape.
