Will be selling my Caribbean Mist body from '94 though. It has chips to the body, and a small filled hole. No idea what it's worth. £200 or thereabouts? Any idea? Hard to know without pics, I know but just looking for general amount.

Might do better in the classifieds or checking for comparable bodies on eBay completed listings.

the value will depend on condition, so it's impossible to be clearer without pics of the damage and fill.

I thnik youd do well to get £200 for a mint one to be homest, so with the wear and tear as stated
(pics will help of course ) id say if you get £140-£150 youd be doing well.

Agreed. A poly finished Fender body second hand at best is about £125. I dont think the model matters. A US body would naturally get more than a Mexican body

There's always the person who wants to restore one they've used nitro(re)morse on who might pay a bit over the odds. Nice colour, Caribbean Mist imo.

There's a guy who advertises a Fender Masterbuilt body on ebay - been on sale for years.

The "somebody might like it at this price" is very much a long long term strategy.

  • Some info to help.

caribbean mist was only a colour option on strat plus and plus dx models in 93 and 94 with most of them coming from 93 for some reason....it wasn't popular and was discontinued quite quickly.

im guessing if it is just a body you are calling it a plus as it has the swimming pool routing for the pickups?

some photos would be good and I can give more info and/or might be interest in adding it to my spares collection.

@cobwebscavern Hello mate. Yes. Calling it a Strat Plus cos that's what it was when I bought it. Will check the routing when I part it. :)

    NOT true.

Carribbean Mist was also an option on the USA Standard Strat. I have owned two in that colour - one that I bought new in 1994 and one that I had fairly recently.

It was a popular colour for those of us that like it - and I'd love another, but really don't need one!!

  • Caribbean mist was available on ordinary strats longer than the dates I specified....it was only available in those two years on pluses which is what I was referring to......it's only the internet...no need to get her knickers in a twist even if I was wrong...which I'm not.
