Obviously in no way as shocking as recent events in Manchester, but he deserves a mention IMO.

I never liked him as Bond, but still liked him.

He was a nice bloke and epitomised the 80s as much as Duran Duran. RIP

Great ambassador for UNICEF and tragically lost a stepdaughter at the age of 47  to Cancer as well, he'll always be Siman Templar

The saint, he will be nearer to playing the part again. Always came across as a gentlemen with a sense of humour (and an active eyebrow). I though he was a likeable fellow, RIP Roger.

Yup, Roger Moore driving a white Lotus Esprit onto the beach - lowering the window and throwing out a fish. Classic! :)

Best Bond film by a long way imo. I love it at the end when the baddie takes off his fake rubber face to reveal basically the same face underneath.

And his various fights with Richard Keil ("Jaws").  What a couple of characters!

Seemed to have a great sense of humour and I liked his Bond ( even if Moonraker was awful), just about remember him in The Saint. Considering his fame doesn't seem to have been very prolific, perhaps he just got on with his normal life.RIP.

    RIP

The Persuaders is repeated on Sky channel 183 most nights. He was actually quite good in it, Bond seemed t limit him somewhat.

He was a great guy. I have a picture of him with my friend when he did a 'bond on bond' book signing at work..

Will have to dig it out.

Sean was my favourite bond, but Roger was just as good. Being a young un I really can't say I've seen him in much else though, although the saint boxsets have been in stock recently so I discovered that!

    Rest in peace bud.

Be up there with Richard Keil on new adventures!

    RIP :(.

Not my favourite Bond, although he was the first one I saw - in The Spy Who Loved Me - but an all-round gentleman and a slightly better actor than he was probably given credit for or often used as.

I think The Wild Geese was probably his best film.
