So I have one of these and what I'd like to do is cut off the plug and connect it to and IEC socket that I've fitted to my pedal board 

I've not cut the wire yet, just checking is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Will I find an earth cable in there or not?

    Just checked the cable on one of mine and there's a blue, a brown and a green/yellow.

    Awesome thanks mate, that's another little job I can get done tonight pedal board almost finished just need some pedals now :D
