EDIT 3 18/09/17: How's everyone getting on with their MS-3's? I'm considering flipping my Boss ES-5 and getting an MS-3 to make a small Live board and then use my analog pedals at home.

Feedback after a few months usage would be great, as well as comparisons with Line 6's M series.

WHAT

EDIT: £400 according to a reddit post, nothing on any UK shops yet to confirm.

    Need. A. Price.

This really looks like a cracking bit of kit - if the delays and reverbs have spillover between patches, it might be the basis of a new preamp board for me; an AMT preamp in each loop for three "channels", effects from the Boss, job done.

    @digitalscream £400 potentially

I'm interested to know which particular algorithms are at play here. Like are the Reverbs from the RV-6?

    That look awesome!!!!

literally what I expected Line 6 to be putting out to replace the M series.

is there a release date? this may have shaken up my little/backup board plans!

  • Watching Bea set it up; I'm wondering if they'll update the ES-8 and ES-5 with those dials; or at least with an interface update. Looks so easy.

TGP had heard $699 AUD, which is about $500USD, so £400GBP sounds about right.

I can see how it would be a good choice for someone who wanted a compact pedalboard but didn't want to be limited to only a few effects and was more picky about some of those effects than others.

Manual and various other stuff is on the BOSS website. I skimmed it- it doesn't seem to have the same routing flexibility as the ES-5/8, but it does have the same assign and internal pedal functions as the DD-500, which makes for a lot of interesting possibilities.

In typical BOSS fashion it doesn't look all that exciting to start with, but as you start to dig in to the possibilities it gets much more interesting.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

It looks like it's basically an ES unit with built in GT-100 DSP and some additional loops.

Tap tempo with the delays will no doubt be squirrely and pitchy and they'll never fix it.

This PDF has a list of the FX

Jesus Christ! It has all of the effects of the GT-100 less the modelling, so very tempting. Can't knock that.

Yay, a sort of Boss ME-X for 2017.  I susupect this might be a bit more popular though.

Doesn't seem to support 4CM unless I'm missing something?

You could use one of the FX loops to do 4cm I think.
