Left over Raffle prize: Fancy a climb and bbq social?

So it looks like the climbing day prize is unwanted, so I've had a chat with @Bridgehouse and I'm looking to see if there's any interest in combining a bit of a social with the opportunity to have a go at climbing. 

Very rough outline, just to gauge interest, is to meet up somewhere nice like Brimham Rocks / Somewhere in the Peaks or Lakes and set up a fairly easy but interesting climb with safety ropes and several different harnesses. Then, we enjoy a picnic / bbq social (with guitars obviously) and anyone that wants to have a crack at the climb, or possibly an abseil, can do so for a small donation to the fund. All proceeds added to what's already been collected. 

I'd be more than happy to give instruction if wanted but primarily I'd look to set up and do safety checks and then keep everyone safe. 

Any thoughts / suggestions / interest?

Totally interested, depending on when it'll be etc. 

Lady prettydamned doesn't want to climb but I bet she'd love the chance to camp somewhere lovely over a weekend

Mrs Returns loves a climb and a camp too! Hadn't thought about camping but it's totally doable, just need to pick the location more carefully.

Yep as above, if we're making a night of it, It does restrict us a bit on where we can go unless we want to move after climbing. Either to a suitable wild camp spot or to a site. My preference is sleeping, beering and guitaring in the wilds but I know that's not for everyone! I'd happily sleep on the ground in a bivi bag

I'm currently thinking Hodge Close Quarry or possibly somewhere further down Borrowdale Valley off the beaten track. Maybe Raven Crag, and we could play on the first couple of pitches of Corvus ...

My summer work diary is filling up fast so I'd like to get this booked in. Failing that, September should give people more time / notice.

I'd prefer to camp somewhere that has a typical, working shitter. Not a huge fan of having to dig a hole and use a passing vole to wipe yer ringpiece clean (though the whiskers help)
