Any John 5 fans?

He's always been in the back of my mind just as the guy who played for Marilyn Manson for a time. I'm currently listening to an interesting long interview with him and I was surprised that he is a lot older than I thought (45), and also that he has played on a shedload of records.

as well as around 40 credits on various other albums including 'ghost guitarist' many times. He's been a busy boy!

I think I'm going to start delving into his stuff, probably start with my old fave DLR and maybe some solo stuff. Any recommendations?

He's immensely talented.
 There are MANY brilliant YouTube videos of him showing off his chops on assorted telecasters.

He's a superb guitar player. Check out the YouTube videos for Sugarfoot Rag and Black Widow Of La Porte as an indication of the range of styles he can play. As an aside, he's an avid collector of Telecasters - one from every year they were made.

I saw him playing with KD Lang, of all people, back in the 90s.
Anyone that can cut it in her touring band has my respect!

quite like some of his solo metal particularly "Sounds of Impalement " -I learnt to play it because it's so out of my normal pond
BUT what I really like is that he is a Country Master and superb bluegrass player too

I think he was a big session player back in the 1990s.

I know John 5 wasn't in the band when it was written but it is my "go to" song at the moment when I pick up my guitar (and I think he is in the video).
