Broken MIJ pot help

I've just managed to break vol pot in new to me used mij JD Tele by pulling shaft out, breaking it when trying to disconnect slightly corroded vol knob. Presumably it's not worth repairing but do I need split shaft 250 k pot mini version? Diameter looks to be 5.9mm. Any help appreciated...

    What is the diameter of the hole through the control plate? This could be your opportunity to upgrade to a better quality pot. Telecasters with metal control knobs usually have solid pot shafts.

    I'll check later as I had thought about upgrading to CTS pots but want to retain nice original metal knobs and I don't think they'll fit USA spec pots.

    I have lots of CTS solid shaft pots to hand - they're 6mm shaft width. I would have thought import solid shaft are the same(?)

    CTS now do a metric sized pot. axesrus have them.
