Light mint green telecaster guard

Hey

My build is still at the sourcing stage and now i'm after a guard.

Im building a 59-61/62 telecaster in custom colour non bound body.

So my looking into the history is that these came with Mint green guards? or least started to go mint.

The body is LPB (aged, quite dark) So although i could go quite dark mint i much prefer the lighter ones as i think they look more genuine.

Any thoughts? Pics would be great. But looking for a good quality 3ply light mint green board.

Or there is the fender board but normally they are too mint.?

I suspect mine will be too dark for you - I had the colour matched to current Fender mint green.

In my experience, the real Fender ones are the best. The ones that came on my 60s Strat and 60s Tele are a hell of s lot more subtle than the aftermarket one I got for my Jag. The 2nd from front from axecaster (parchment?) would probably work better imho.

The Fender American Vintage 64 Tele comes with an "Eggshell" guard, might be worth looking for one of those as they are not dark at all.

You seem to be sorted but here's the other "mint" green I have - comparison shot with parchment and Fender mint green on top of a white piece of paper (no colour adjustments).

I have one of this sellers mint green guards on my tele. Mine wasn't aged when I got it but has been lightly aged now. They are pretty good in my opinion - no too green. You should jump at Waz's kind offer.

That looks awesome! Lovely guitar and it looks almost parchment the pickguard
