easy songs to learn and transcribe the solos?

In my quest to actually improve in my old age, I thought I'd try 1) actually learning a few songs (rather than endless bad blues widdling) and 2) transcribing some solos

So ...... any thoughts on songs that aren't too hard to play with OK but not too taxing solos?

I've just learnt Word Up by Gun.  When someone in our band suggested we cover it I watched on Youtube and thought 'that's gonna be tricky.'   Actually surprised myself - and the rest of the band - by getting it pretty much nailed in a couple of evenings.  Worth a look if you're into that sort of music.
