yeah, you've done a couple of "cliff hanger" posts that you never actually explain and just try to dodge the fact that you've said it all the way through the thread, such as you're doing now, "not right now it's Sunday lunchtime", if you really thought something was false you'd have said it in the original post, or just outlined it when asked to rather than "not right now it's Sunday lunch"

It was days prior that I had seen and heard the official blurb; I couldn't recall off the top of my head exactly what the various things were.  Without going back, I still can't

So what are these other 'cliff hangers' i'm supposed to have done?

Surprised at the excitement over this.

The Klon was great at what it did because if it's characteristic eq imprint and it's low gain settings when pushing an amp breaking up. It's a wonderful sound.

Increasing the gain and putting a 3 band eq on there.... there are far better pedals for that, as the demo seems to confirm

The Matthew Effects Architect has been out for a while. Essentially the same thing but slightly cheaper. Klon with three band eq. A very reasonable £150 at Andertons.

I wasn't overly impressed with the demos to be honest. May as well just use the Soul Food. Or hopefully Magnetic Effects will get onto a super-Klon (if they haven't already)....

Yes they do. They all claim their pedals possess some unique quality that sets them apart from other pedals.
If they said "this pedal is no different to any other pedal on the market apart from the fact that it's more expensive", then that wouldn't be an ideal marketing strategy. They all use over-hyped nebulous claims that can't possibly be substantiated.
It's our job to decide where the fantasy ends and the reality begins.
