It's put me right off tubes, or 'valves' as I like to call them.

    That sounds terrible !

If if you were going to make a promo, this isn’t how you do it.

  • Wasn’t THAT bad. I’ll give it the time of day if the opportunity arises. But then I like things that sound rough rather than smooth.

They mentioned (vaguely) that it was based on something in the vid. The graphics are pretty obvious though!

Why, what is it?  Are they rehousing them plastic things?

  • thinking it was a good idea to remove the EQ and boasting about the fact that they left nothing much intact of the original circuit...and then thinking that’s a good thing, winds me up a bit. Cocky bastards.

We’re talking about a classic piece of gear that doesn’t need to be altered to the point of sounding shit.

The TC Smorgasbord series are all Behringer pedals in different enclosures with slightly improved components. Only the booster and reverb pedal are new I believe.

  • That's really one of the worst pedal launch videos I've ever seen, It sounds like one of those little battery amps companies knock out as novelty gifts...

Because he or she didn't want to be associated with that pedal.

I believe it's a rehoused behringer vintage tube overdrive.

But, but, but he said they had reworked a classic pedal and refined it and improved it until the original circuit was unrecognizable... oh. He meant behringer..
