Suggestions for popular song mash-ups....

We (my band and I) like to mix songs together live - we play 'Let's get Started', into 'Smells like Teen Spirit' and back to LGS. We also do 'Seven Nation' in to 'Sweet Dreams', and 'Year 3000' in to 'Mmm Bop'.

Might give Seal's 'Killer' in to Madonna's 'Material Girl'. a whirl.... But looking for inspiration of the cheesy nature for new songs that might blend well?

    Two I have played...

Kraftwerk's 'The Model' with the Dr. Who Theme in the middle.

Johnny B. Goode with In The Mood in the middle, going up a minor third every four bars so it ends up back where you started after 16.

We used to do "Sharp Dressed Man" which blends almost seamlessly with "Rocking all over the World" the rhythm and timing is pretty much the same.  Can't fail with a well oiled audience of a certain age.

Another show stopper was "Flip Flop Fly" into "Tiger Feet" - you said you wanted cheese...

  • We used to do Get Lucky (Pharell) into Good Times (Chic) into Rappers Delight (SHG). Just need someone to learn the rap (that was me who drew the short straw for that one!)

  • One day I'm going to figure out how to mash ' up 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica and 'Mr Sandman' by the Chordettes.

The title 'Enter Mr. Sandman' makes me feel a little queasy though.
