Recommend an AU channel EQ plugin that is free?

A friend needed some help getting EQ and Comp settings for his Facebook Livestreams - he sent me a basic recording of his voice (same mic, same room) and I tweaked it.

Like a dimwit I did it initially using the Logic channel EQ - but when I tried to replicate that using the EQs available in the software he is using to broadcast the audio (Audio Hijack) it's not as nice.

Audio Hijack can access AU plugins installed on the machine (Mac, obv) so, any channel EQ that operates similarly to the Logic channel EQ, that is free, that sounds good?
