1996 Ampeg B3 Bass Combo + Full Heavy Duty Flight

Hi guys

I am having to stop playing bass due to large lumps that have appeared on the knuckles of my index finger and thumb.  I have had this B3 for many years now and this, along with my AVRI '63 P Bass, is going to have to go sadly.  The P Bass will be listed under Basses for Sale.

The amp was originally owned by the band Death in Vegas and was bought from the band in 2001 when they were working in a studio in London.  The amp was then and still is in almost new condition and this suggests that the amp was only used in the studio.  It has a REALLY heavy duty full flight case and also top quality throughout and is in amazing condition, although the butterfly catches are quite tarnished.  However, they work faultlessly. The interior of the flightcase is pretty immaculate.

The amp was made in the St Louis factory in the US in 1996 according to the serial number (B30WI60094).  This is a REALLY well made amp and weighing in at 68lbs its not lightweight.  Its rated at 150 watts at 4ohms.  It is fitted with the original Ampeg Custom 15" speaker with 56oz magnet and 2.5" voice coil. Sizewise it is: Width 20", Height 26" and Depth 13/5".  It has an effects loop and also an XLR balanced out on the rear panel for which you can select pre or post EQ via a mini switch and the level can be adjusted for mic or line via a -20db switch.

The amp gives you standard EQ via Gain/Drive/Bass/Ultra Mid/Treble/Master knobs or by pulling the master out it deactivates the knobs and activates the graphic EQ.  Great to have both options.

I have a copy of the manual for the amp.

The amp functions perfectly and I have used it a lot over the years but has never given me a single problem.  I will post a few photos here but please see a load more on my Imgur page:

Any questions please ask!  This is probably pick up only as the amp in the flightcase is heavy  Located about an hour north of London in Cambridgeshire.

Asking £300 for this which is what I paid for it way back when!!  A bit of a bargain.
