Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro with OHC  £999 posted in UK

I know I'm going to regret this but I just don't play it any more and I don't want so many sitting around now!
Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro from the months right at the beginning of Patrick's hand built production. Personally signed certificate of authenticity, as he would have been the main luthier then.
Highly regarded as better than PRS guitars (even by Paul Reed Smith himself at the time), Patrick Eggle where the finest built guitars to come out of England which saw the production grow until Patrick sold it out in '95.
A really high quality instrument. I wanted one of these since I first played on in 1992 and eventually managed to get my hands on an early example (two in fact) about 5 years later. The other one I sold on as it didn't have the same connection with me as this one (we've had many hot dates together

Everything as standard, although these were made to customers spec so nothing is 'standard'

  • Wilkinson VS100 convertible trem system to go hardtail or wobble bar!
  • Three way toggle switch, Volume and 3 way tone selector.
  • 24 fret at 25 inch scale so if you have clubby sausage fingers you might struggle.
  • One little lacquer chip at the headstock (shown).
  • Dunlop strap locks. I have a Patrick Eggle strap, which I'll put in the case.
  • Fitted Patrick Eggle branded case.

Ooooh I've been so tempted with one of these for some time. Lost interest in them now the current Patrick Eggle Berlin guitars aren't actually made by the man anymore which put me off. Nice to see a real one though. A mate of mine (professional guitarist) swears by them in fact it's his No.1 guitar. Sorely tempted but seems a bit above my price range

Lovely, wanted one for years but sadly can't afford it. Out of interest are the pick ups Seymour Duncan's or Kent Armstrong's.  Also, you said 3 way toggle plus5 way tone selector ie 15 tones? I've only ever seen these with 3 way toggle and 3 position tone knob ie 9 tones?
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)
