Hahahahaha, dear God.  Direct contravention of Randella's modification rules:

1) Does the modification cost more than a packet of new strings?
2) Does the modification make more difference to your tone than the packet of new strings?

I have to say Langrex have sourced me some pretty rare valves in the past so know their stuff, you have to remember that  the HiFi audiophiles particularly in the Far East pay big money for genuine British valves, I know because I have sold quite a few GEC KT88s over there ( Vietnam would you believe).
Like most of us old timers I have lots of used  Mullards, Brimars, Mazdas etc. But everyone wants NOS stuff which are a rarity theses days

He says that, for his touring amps at least, he uses new production valves.  JJ's IIRC.  Gives him consistent performance when he wears them out and has to replace them.  Same with speakers I think.

Totally agree IC for us guitar hero’s but the Hi-Fi boys pay huge amounts for NOS British valves, after all where do they get the next set of Mullards  from?
