    Have a bump - just thought I'd say that I have a Tyler Variax and they play amazingly.  Even if you don't use the "guts" much they are amazing guitars in their own right.  Nothing better than belting out Wanted Dead or Alive and seamlessly switching between a 12 string acoustic sound and a nice overdriven lead sound.  Work fantastically with the L6 Helix too. GLWTS
