    Really shocked. Only 62, he was still actively making telly so presumably not a long term illness.

    Just read a few pieces on him - sounds like he had significant issues in his past - including his mother committing suicide when he was 21. Easy to be sniffy about light entertainers - but the bloke was very good at what he did. Terribly young to go. RIP

    Just googled it - the actress in the famous - nay, classic - Shake n' Vac advert was called Jenny Logan.  And that was 1979, a few years after Dale Winton's mum died.

    I went to school with him .........he was a couple of years above me
    He died at home in Whetstone N20 which is about 3 miles from where I live in Hadley Wood
