New Guitar Day (well, Tuesday was!)

I had been itching for something new for a while (damned GAS), and was in the mood for something with a locking trem, and HSH setup.

I wanted a thicker sound than say an ash/basswood body would give, so looked at Jackson/Charvel/ESP/Ibanez and whittled it down to either a Soloist or the S1070-PBZ, and the Ibanez won.

She has a Tone Zone in the bridge, True Velvet in the middle and an Air Norton in the neck, and the whole setup is so articulate and clear it has to be heard to be believed.  







The neck is incredible, thin but wide, and allows me to play around my arthritis quite nicely.

Nice! Love the back of the neck. Ibanez make some very sweet guitars, rarely tried one I didn't like. Enjoy.

Bubinga neck? mahogany body/Burl top? Ibanez pack in a lot of clever design into a neat package. Enjoy!

It's 11 pieces of Panga Panga/Maple/Walnut/Maple/Panga Panga/Purpleheart/Panga Panga/Maple/Walnut/Maple/Panga Panga   It's a mahogany body with burl poplar top 'wings' with a curly maple/panga panga/curly maple stripe down the middle.  It's a fantastic looking and sounding collection of wood.
