Accutronics Reverb Bricks

Does anyone know of a source for Accutronics reverb bricks? As you can see Fuzzdog sell them normally, but have no stock and they don't seem to be that good at restocking, any suggestions?

Thanks, should have said I had seen that one, they want £5.29 for 1st class postage which is a piss take for such a small item that Fuzzdog charge £1.50 postage on. Guess I might have to grin and take it, should have ordered one from Fuzzdog the other week when they still had them in stock.

Thanks again @Adam_MD , I'll look into that . My fault for thinking "I'll order that later" when Fuzzdog still had them in stock. Have you done any reverb builds? If so what length reverb have you used?

I also prefer the short brick brick version but can’t find any uk based sellers with any in stock at the minute.

I bought it, made it, and it's sat in my box of pedals I don't use.

Not sure what you want the Reverb brick for, but if it's to make a Reverb pedal then I've got you covered

Yeah, I hear a lot of talk about the rubadub. Did consider building one before I decided to go with the Dead Astronuat Chasm. This is my first reverb build. I've built up the board, but now need the brick. I was thinking of medium, some say the long has a bit of modulation in it which could be good, could be bad.

Cheers, yes it is for a reverb, but the circuit I've built requires the newer, smaller style 6 pin brick. The BYOC one looks like it uses the older larger style 7 pin type. Thanks anyway....

It’s actually quite interesting what’s inside it - three cascaded cheap “karaoke machine” delay chips, gooped up.

Bear in mind that an old spring reverb assembly is not remotely hi-fi or even 'fi' of any sort really . It uses an extremely basic motor transducer to shake the end of a floppy spring, the other end of which is attached to an equally basic pickup transducer, and there are two or three of these with slightly different spring tensions in parallel.

So really the Belton Brick is quite appropriately crude...

Ha, yeah. I've got a Digitech Polara which is great in many ways (especially in stereo), but can also sound a little sterile. I've seen quite a few different reverb demos/builds using various Belton Bricks and there's something quite musical about the sound, seem to do a dark, haunted, lost on space sound that a lot of proper digi verbs can't quite get.
