Award session JD10, Boss turbo overdrive and Proco Rat, Washburn Chorus
Ditto on the JD10, I don't use it a lot but every time I think of selling it I remember everything it can do, and the thought vaporises.

Absolutely love my reissue DOD 250. Yes the circuit is old hat, it's been around for ages, but it's just got that slightly gritty overdrive that I want that cuts through at the right frequency. It doesn't even need a tone knob, good enough with just gain and volume.

What are the Real old but Gold standards........? Obviously the Klon but again it's reputation speaks more than the pedal itself.

THe Klon has been maligned and worshipped at various stages, and ironically found more acceptance after it was discontinued. It was designed for a very limited application and that is in a band mix with an amp working hard. If working with a very clean amp and ina  solo situation it sounds horrible. I bought mine in 2007 and for me it;s an oldy goldy or in my case a no horsey silvery.

I'm going to speak up for the Boss Tera Echo, the TE-2

I have had it over three years and whatever configuration of pedals I set up with it's always in the chain.

I don't really know how to describe it, it's certainly more reverb than echo, but it has this ridiculous phaser delay that just makes people look up.and grin.

It also produces real depth to your sound, layers of the stuff and never sounds too crazy no matter how far right you crank everything.

    Brilliant, brilliant pedal.

Having spent hours at the weekend playing me stuff, another shout out for the SD-1.

    Just sounds right to me.

Every time I think about going full multi-fx, I play the SD-1 with the DM-2w and the itch goes away.

I like the simplicity of this combination as well but what amp are you running in to and how is it set?  I find the sd1 into a clean Marshall jcm800 doesn't work too well but when it's a crunch tone or a fender type amp, it works great.

Blackheart Handsome Devil Head and cab.

Run with a little grit and then add the SD-1.  For heavier drive I use a DS-1 and then stack the SD into the DS for lead.

    I love this sound.

    Cheers
