Anyone know what, easily available in the UK, finished guitar neck is most like the Baja 50's Tele - i.e. a chunky soft v? Any help appreciated.

Have a look on the Fender web site , they sell 50's Tele necks.
A Deuce , a Tele and a cup of tea.

Thanks. I didn't know you could buy necks from Fender. The don't have the Baja though or any soft v tele necks.

MM and Allparts both do a Vee profile neck, not sure if they do them finished though...I like both.....

If you contact Fender I am sure they would have one, like any other part for a guitar, what happens if you drop your baja and it ends up needing a new neck?

Buying a used one and selling the loaded body is probably your best option.

Yep. The Baja 50s neck is pretty unique - chunky (very) soft V with 9.5" radius and medium frets.
Not sure any other model has all that.
Allparts TMO-V is a nice chunky soft V but not quite as chunky or soft as the Baja. Plus vintage frets and 7.25" radius.
The Fender 50s replacement Tele neck has vintage frets and radius and is a C profile  - but they offer a Classic Player Strat neck with a soft V 9.5 radius and medium jumbo frets  - go figure!
Parting out a Baja or buying a neck on ebay would be the simplest way to get what you want if you don't want to buy a Warmoth Boatneck (which may or may not be too chunky and/or too hard a V)
    Or commission one.

I think i'll keep a lookout for a cheap used one and part it out. Trouble is though, once i've got it i'll probably want to keep it!
