This is from Ash and his Masterwound series. Old spec Firebird in a full size hum bucker case. Great condition, it was intended  for a tele project that didn't materialise.

    How much output cable is left on the WTZ-N pickup?

    I have only ever seen them with single conductor + braided shield cable. Is that black plastic insulated cable single, two or four conductor + shield format?

    When I bothered to check the smaller print in the OCP installation instructions, it confirmed that 2-con + shield cable is intended for phase reversal.



    The only other possibility with 2-con + shield would have been coil splitting.

    Given how clear and bright vintage style Firebird pickups sound to begin with, it is difficult to imagine why anyone (other than a Gibson or Epiphone Nighthawk owner) would want to coil split them.
