Yes, but this petition will do nothing.

It's too late - the wild population is too small to be sustainable now and captive breeding is the only way out. The most critical threat isn't actually habitat destruction now, it's hybridisation with feral cats.

@ICBM fair enough, I didn't know that. But signing it would show you care so if the "experts" saw that enough people cared, they'd set up a captive breeding programme.

But better, join or contribute to the Scottish Wildlife Trust - they have a dedicated project which involves habitat protection, combatting hybridisation and a captive breeding programme.

I didn't even know it was a species, and it's a shame numbers have become so limited before much action has been taken.
