I'm curious. Looks quite distinctive to me.

Looks like regular rosewood to me. A nice looking one, but still!

How old is the guitar? Easy to figure it out if you know the model/year. I suspect IRW too.

    It's a 2004 Guitar. I suspect Madagascan too.

It's not Braz, if that's what you're thinking.

I was wondering if there was a chance, but realistically I think it's Madagascar. What makes it definitely not Brazilian?

My vote, without knowing the age, would be madagascar rw. Very little else (cocobolo and brw) has such deep reddish browns. Irw *tends* to be darker, more purpley.

Wrong grain and colour for Brazilian

I have 2 Madagascar boards and they are both darker than the one in the picture.

Madagascar is indeed often dark - but then again not quite as dark as Brazilian can be. Having said that I've seen some pretty light BRW as well.

The key thing is the colour - Madagascar has a distinct red hue compared to Brazilian, and doesn't have the silvery grey of Indian.

Is it true that you’ve had a Brazilian @Bridgehouse? An affirmation or denial will be fine - we don’t need a photo....

It was dry as a bone dry wood when I got it. 11 years in a case means oiling she needs.
