For sale: 2015 JXG  LPDCJr

So this guitar was commissioned by me in 2015 form John Gill. It was originally an aged cherry – that I wasn’t that happy with (the colour, not the finish), so I had RayGun Relics “refinish” it in the blue over the cherry that you see here.

Please see the spec sheet for the details of the guitar. The only change from the spec sheet has been the pickup, which is now an Oil City Firewatch.

It’s been played, but not that much. And it plays well.

Comes with a Thomann hard case. I’ll check to see if I have the packaging to send it.

£1100   bank transfer only. Collection from Maidenhead or Hemel Hempstead (where you can try before you buy)

The only thing that I’d consider in trade is a Baja 50s telecaster

This might be a stupid question, but why did Raygun Relics paint over the top of the original finish, instead of stripping the cherry first?

You have any pics of it while it was still cherry?

I saw this at the Waterrats jam day last weekend. And it looks utterly droolworthy. Sadly I was too focused on not screwing up the songs I was down to play so I didn't get chance to have a go...

@bodhi ; I asked RR to go over the original finish - we both agreed that it would look better like that.

I love this, especially the 'Junior'  logo, very clever indeed. Whats the neck profile?

It's a 55 neck profile, and 43mm across the nut - it's a nice C profile, the fretboard edges have been rolled. It also has a bit of body relief/cut-away on the back (I have an old broke rib).
