SOLD: Danplifier Dragon - 30-watt hand-wired amp head (JCM 800/Friedman Dirty Shirley)

This is a hand-wired amp based on the Marshall JCM800/Friedman Dirty Shirley. It's an EL34 (it can also run 6L6s - and it's cathode-biased so does not require biasing) powered small head with a few additions.

Treble, middle, bass, gain and master volume. It also has a second footswitchable master volume you can use to boost it.

The three toggle switches on the front are the Friedman C45 mod, three position gain switch and a fat switch.

8ohm and 16ohm outputs. FX loop.

W50cm x D20cm x H20cm.

It also has a matching active footswitch.

Amp is in excellent condition (the labels peel off). Newly valved.

Collection from Penrith or Carlisle. Will post for £25.

Is the FX loop working ok, I think Andy said it wasn't set at the right level for pedals or something?

I’ve never used it but Mr Danplifier said it’s passive. He’d gladly mod it further to make it active but it wasn’t worth me getting it done. I actually don’t understand what that means though! @andy1839 ;

Haha me either, I just always run a reverb pedal in the loop and I am not sure the loop on this would take it if you know what I mean.

I’m absolutely certain individual pedals like reverb etc. work but hoping we’ll get confirmation from @andy1839 ;

my fuchs ods had a switchable parallel / series fx loop to accomadate both pedal fx and rack style fx , thats what you need need if you want both ...

I think it's the same type of loop that's in the Soldano SLO.

I always used everything into the front end and it handled it exceptionally well.

Friedman BE-OD > Jrad Archer > Fender/Boss FRV1 Reverb > amp into a celestion greenback neo
