New Synth Day / A track that it made

Some of you may've spotted that I sold my Sub 37 recently. It's replacement arrived today. 

I was all set to buy an Oberheim SEM Pro, but was struck by a sudden urge to curb spending. Instead I went for something I've fancied a good while, and they're really great value at the minute; a Korg Arp Odyssey. 

First impressions are GREAT. It sounds gigantic. First play through has already started a new track, and it's DANK.

it's really impressive. It's all the synths on this, with the exception of the arpeggio (which is Prophet 6). You've been hankering for a synth... you could do a lot worse.

As a fan of Eno, Formula, Rick Wright and Zappa-era George Duke, I have a soft spot for Odyssey sounds. 

This thread sent me back to my Creamware Prodyssey ASB module to noodle into the Logic DAW. Plenty to edit - including some nice polyphonic string pad sounds.

The KORG Odyssey software synth plug-in sounds rather nice too.

Nothing internally. Just £60 cheaper for the module, but then you don’t get a keyboard or the case.

Yeah, 86% size. Exactly the same everything, but £1000 cheaper than the FS.

I’ve changed the track quite a lot today. Love it. Will upload in a while, once I’m certain I’ve stopped tinkering
