WTB vox phantom (& variants of) body or whole project. can be old/new vox or decent copy.
What's Hot
as the headline says.
am after a vox phantom body because the shape is literally too impossibly sexy not to have one.
it can be old or reissue vox, or even one of the revelations (or any other accurate decent copy).
if someone has a whole project cheapish (this is a project not a museum level adventure) then i may even be up for that.
if the necks are uber-chunky i may struggle so will double-check if that offer arises.
prefered 'house colours' are black, pink, red (maybe purple or white), though this is a longshot shout anyway, so that's not a deal-breaker.
ping me here or via pms if you have any ideas or offers?
thankq.
"and it feels like this..." (count v - psychotic reaction).

are they all much of a muchness for quality, or are there any to seek out?
i just want something basic, so trying to avoid crazy vintage prices.
revelations are considered decent generally, and well-priced.
eastwood a similar thing, maybe slightly less so?
brandoni and phantom i would expect to be good but with matching big ticket.
if you mean the italian 60s eko that will be same as brandoni.
teisco i would expect nothing of quality-wise.
as for the others, i know nothing of them in relative quality terms.
actually i may pm you later, too sleepy now (insomnia!). but have some bits you may be into.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder
My trading feedback - I'm a good egg
Sadly, no!
I really can’t stand the Teardrop/Phantom shape...or the baseball-bat necks on old Voxes.
The only Vox Phantom shape I’d consider owning is this, purely because of what the “guitar” is/does - or doesn’t, as the case may be!

yay, more for me! but i'm surprised to hear that, because out tastes often align in freaky places.
well maybe i should rephrase my question to you... 'of all the phantoms you have tried, which did you totally hate least?'
re the voxes with onboard effects. now we are in perfect alignment. i have the starstream basic ones as stompboxes but if i find a phantom obviously i have to build them in. compulsion 'have to'!
will investigate the vox effect thingy you suggest. if you like those kinds of proto synth interface things, maybe you have a ludwig phase II? they look kind of crazy.
i posted about dino (aka 'digi2t') in 'modding' over the weekend, but he made tracing the ludwig phase II so it cound be put into a stompbox format a personal quest.
i think there's a vero or pcb layout at freestompboxes if you know someone who can build you one. it's a build for a nijna grandmaster, but it exists thanks to dino. i think you need one.
