These do need a route under the existing bridge.   Also, a behind the nut string lock works better than using it as a locking nut, unless you build up a shelf for it to sit on (the Floyd style nut can be used either way)

I really like kahler’s, one of my favourite trend for dive bombing.... totally different feel to a Floyd .  but they are not a drop in replacement for any guitar.

    edit:

    the route

Worth pointing out you have the locking grub screw on the back edge too, then trem can be locked in place really quickly

Interesting. Where does the cam go during upwards bends?

Also, where are the Kahler mounting studs, the support "wheels" that replace the threaded studs for the Tune-O-Matic bridge and their respective threaded inserts?

Sorry if my questions appear negative or mean. The questions need asking because the vibrato that you are offering is incomplete. Hoarders such as @HarrySeven and I may have the relevant spare parts. Most normal human beings probably would not.

IMO, the string clamp in the OP photographs does not comply to any known Kahler design. It is a licensed FR item.

There are some other parts here.  I will upload  pics shortly. Thanks for the heads up.  I don’t know much about these at all as it was a trade so any help would be greatly appreciated

This being a newer model (post 2008) means spare parts are still available easily, including the risers for $10

This version is still available new at $359 + postage and customs charges... which should be minimal for the risers, but you would get stung on the trem unit

    actually that'slightly different again

    its this one @$289

the 2 thumbwheels are the important risers for the kahler

The plate and 4 screws are a vibramate (v7 style i think) sell that separately as its nothing to do with the kahler.  Its used for fitting a bigsby to a carved top guitar, but you are missing a plate that goes at the strap buttom end

Wez is correct on all counts.

IMO, the Vibramate parts deserve a listing to themselves. Plenty of Bigsby fans on tFB. Should sell quickly.

thanks guys   so is it just the studs missing from the kahler then ?

In theory, the Kahler should fit on the stock Gibson tailpiece studs. Sometimes, things do not sit nicely. Also, the exact colour of the electroplated finishes might not match. This could bug some people.
