No wonder my rhythm guitar riffs have been so ineffective all these years.

'providing a better sensation' - if I used these to get a better sensation it would be seen as kinky and bloomin painful

He's bought a whole range out. I'm going to try his Jack Thammarat scratchplate screws:

    • Holds your scratchplate in the optimum position
    • improves air pressure underneath
    • correct level of shine
    • extra 1mm of thread on the screw for 1% extra hold

I love that 2nd line about the air pressure - maybe that is why single ply 8 hole s/plates can warp - wrong screws

Is there a link to buy these? I am in despair with my stock scratchplate screws. They are dull, flat sounding and not enough bite.  :#

For anyone who doesn't know who he is... Check this out. He's a great player! But yes I think the signature trem springs are hilarious.

I remember him winning Guitarist of the year some years back. He does a lot of stuff for the Jamtracks site. Yeah, very good for those who like melodic instrumental widdlers

I'm sorry but I call bullshit on those marketing lines...

"Balanced tone" - wtf, compared to what exactly?
"Providing a better sensation" - than what? Based on what?
"Clearer notes and dynamics" - compared to what? What evidence have you got?
"Enables Rhythm guitar riffs to be played effectively" - yes, so can the cheap shit in an Encore copy

Someone ought to take them to the ASA over that.

    What a load of bollocks.

I'll put you down for 2 sets then mate?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Wow, I'm going to fit them to all my guitars.  Especially the non-tremolo ones.

The only thing trem related that makes any sense to me, apart from a decent block are the heavy machined trem claws, as long as a spring doesn’t stretch and isn’t made of cheese I can’t see the benefit of those in the slightest

If people subscribe to the idea that the trem springs in a strat contribute to the sound, the natural reverb thing, then upgrading your trem springs should’nt be too much to believe, right?
