Halloween games during live set

What's Hot

My metal band are playing a gig in October with a Halloween theme - and we're trying to think of ways to jazz up our set with some spooky frolics and what not.

Trying to avoid the cliched apple bobbing, musical chairs etc...anybody else got any slightly off-the-wall ideas for tomfoolery between (or even during) songs?

Bear in mind this would be a heavy metal show so there would be no limits to how depraved/silly/stupid the games can be.

Conga line. Have the drummer attach a strap to the snare and during a breakdown in a song have him get up with the snare and start banging it leading the line.

Have done this before and has always gone down really well. Except for one time the drummer got lost*...

Think we have one on film somewhere and part of it is the drummer entering a room of the club and there is a girl in floods of tears there caught like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do when a massive conga line works its was around her being lead by a half naked drummer banging his drum...

*yes..  this is true.. he got lost in front of the stage..

Ah yes some other bands around the area have done something similar...we don't have many breakdowns though! (if any)

The crowd/band participation thing could be doable in some capacity because our drummer is a mad bastard. Well they all are I guess but still.

Our last song has a kind of bluesy swaggery sludge riff that goes on for about two minutes...could get some dancing going on there with a conga line around the entire room.

I think we did it during Puff the magic dragon, great song rocked up!

Trick is to pre-warn a few friends in the crowd so they are instantly on board with the conga, others will then join quickly otherwise it could turn into an awkward situation :)
