Specs: 1989 built in the original Valley Arts Vose Street Facility - Serial Number: VA 930008 Swamp ash body in transparent red, maple neck with Rosewood fretboard, 22-frets, chrome hardware - Valley Arts Floyd Rose tremelo, locking nut & tuners, replacement white pearloid backplate and scratchplate, EMG SA/SA/89 pickups, chrome volume & tone controls, 5-way switch; includes hardshell case & original white backplate and scratchplate.

Condition: In excellent overall used condition, showing minor markings consistent with being played since manufacture in 1989 - body has minor surface scratching to front/rear, 4 minor dents to rear through surface finish. Hardware is very well preserved considering age, minor tarnishing to trem E & A string fine-tuners, frets in excellent shape with plenty of life left - please review the attached photos.

Background: This guitar is confirmed by Martin Miranda of Valley Arts, to be one of approximately 20 such early Pre-Production versions of the proposed Standard Pro line and was built alongside the Custom Pro guitars by the same craftsmen at the Vose Street facility - the difference appears to be limited to the neck using plain maple/rosewood instead of the Custom Pro’s birds-eye maple/ebony combination and also the Schaller-VA branded Floyd Rose Tremolo instead of the Custom Pro's Kahler Floyd Rose - in all other aspects from body wood, finish, hardware & electronics used, this compares favourably to my Lukather Custom Pro. Please do not confuse or compare this guitar to the production Standard Pro line built later in Canada by Godin - they are fine guitars but are a different thing clearly to this early Standard Pro which appears to meet the intent of keeping the Custom Pro specs but producing a less-expensive version through the use of plain ash & maple and a Schaller Tremolo.
