Hi,
Does anyone know of a pedal board wizard in the Leicester area that would be able to take my pedals and put them on a board so it doesn't look like a spaghetti explosion?

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    ^^^ This, it's a great DIY skill-set to develop.

Why not post a pic of your pedals laid out roughly as you would wish to have them, and invite people to chime in with their comments.

  • I suppose Custom Pedal Boards, regular posters on here, are the gold standard now in this. Somewhere in Wales is all I remember. Outside of the small operations who do it at a fairly pro level I guess there aren’t that many people doing it for money.

@ennspek Do you already have the pedals and the board you want to mount them on?

Have you decided how you want to lay them out on the board for ease of use? This can be totally different from the sequence in which they are connected. For example, it’s easier if the pedals which you change mid song are on the front row, and pedals which you change between songs, or only use infrequently, are on the back row.
