Had a meeting in Westbourne today, somewhere I visit quite a bit for work but never get the chance to wander about until today.
My wallet wont thank me for it but I found a fantastic old school guitar shop down in the arcade . Apparently its been running since 1920 and the chap that runs it now is the son of the founder, his son in turn works there too on the repair side of things. They seem to specialise in reasonably priced used guitars with a few quirky vintage pieces thrown in. I tried a Tokai Rockinbetter which ii really wanted to like but it wasnt for me.
Really looking forward to getting back there when I have some proper time to browse, it's a really friendly place.

Thank you Tone, I've heard of ELP but not actually heard any of their tunes (consciously anyway)
No, it had Tokai on the headstock and looked like a fairly typical fireglow Rickenbacker ish guitar. I cant remember exactly what it said on the hang tag, 'Rockin' something or other I'm sure but once I plugged it in and played it I didn't take any more interest in it. It sounded similar to my casino tbh, not the sound I expected. Not bad by any means just not different enough to splash out on
