All brands considered although I’m veering towards Martins.

I’ve just sold my Gibson J45 rosewood (having to trim down the collection somewhat) which I loved, if that gives you any idea of what I like.

I have a baggs M80 sat here so electronics not essential. Must be willing to post.

cheers
Phil.

I have a Martin JM you can have in the middle of your range. It comes with the very solid original Martin case. Beautiful tone and higher quality than current DX range. It already has a piezo fitted.

I really don't think you have to look too far......@ditchboy has a Furch advertised in Acoustics and for me this represents really amazing value for money and excellent build quality.  Good luck with the search.

  • You’re not going to like this answer, but:

’all of them, and none of them’

I recently had the same challenge and what looked good on paper means nothing, I hit the shops and couldn’t believe the variety in examples of the same make/model. Despite being CERTAIN I’d come away with a Taylor, I found a second hand Lag that absolutely destroyed everything else in the shop (to my ear).

  • I have a Martin 000X1ae with piezo that I'd look to shift at the bottom of your price bracket.

Thank you. It's still for sale too btw. Persistent taxman forces sale.

Yamaha A3R or A3M. I really miss my A3R and if I were to venture into acoustic world again I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. They sound excellent unplugged or plugged in. There is one here:
