Entertainment for Xmas lights switch on

What's Hot
Subject to contract we got offered gig at local lights switch on.

Our yodeller had it on her bucket list.

Hopefully leads to more gigs with the local council.

Well I guess that's pretty cool, but no way in my whole life will I ever turn up somewhere to see lights switched on. At least you are being paid to be there

  • Brilliant enjoy and don’t forget your PAT certs and public liability oh and invoice on 30 days. The wonders of working for Local Authorities. On the plus side you can ask wedding band fees!

  • We did this at my local xmas light switch on a few years ago. It opened a lot of doors for us including doing many gigs for local businesses and the local council. We didn't charge anything to do it, the publicity and exposure was more than worth it for us.

Also. It will likely be cold and your fingers will suffer. Take precautions like gloves that come off at the last second and make sure the guitar is tuned and retuned once aclimatised. Double check the power supply, if the council tech provides it you should be good to go. Plus everything @maltingsaudio said in big red letters.
