Sadly died after a good innings. Made some of the best films to have come out of this country including Don't Look Now, Man Who Fell To Earth, The Witches, Walkabout, Bad Timing, Eureka, Insignificance and Performance as well as doing the camera work on the classic adaptation of Far From The Madding Crowd and The Masque of the Red Death. His films were always engrossing, intelligent and bear repeated viewings. Think I might binge watch this week...
