Ipad connection..

Soo.. just bought an 2018 iPad. I’d quite like to use it for practicing and recording electric guitar and keyboard as I work away a lot.

i have an old line 6 gx interface and a presonus audio box 96 interface.

daft question maybe but would either of those work if i had one of them lightning camera cables or something else?

if not what is decently priced and reliable for connecting up?

You need the Camera Connection Kit - basically a USB port on the end of a Lightning cable (assuming they're still using Lightning connectors and haven't moved on to USB C). Any class compliant USB audio interface should work, I suspect the Line 6 probably isn't and the Presonus probably is but that is just a guess. 

I got a cheapy CCK off Ebay which works about half the time, so if working reliably is important to you I would suggest getting the outrageously overpriced Apple one.

New iPad Pro's are USB-C.
That Lightening to USB adapter will not work.

its not a pro - just a 2018 ipad (version 6)

OK, that has a lightening connector and that kit should work fine.
