WTB -Quilter 101 (non reverb) or Tone Block

I'm looking for a small backup solution to take to gigs, just in case. It must be able to drive a speaker cab on it's own at gigging volume so something like a Quilter or DV Mark would be ideal but not looking to spend a fortune as it's purely a backup to save lugging another combo around. Let me know what you've got.

Thanks for the offer @RevMatt ;but I suspect it'll be over budget as I don't want to go over £200. I was also erring towards solid state from a reliability point of view.

No worries. I've got it on eBay at £225, but it's probably not quite what you're after.

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

  • Thought about an Electro Harmonics Magmun 44? Quite loud for its size. Around £110 new.

Still looking and open to suggestions for small solid state amps/heads. Thanks @Max_b3 but the Magnum 44 seems to dirty up too quick.

An old Roland Cube80 would also be on my list - chop it into a head

Having evaluated a load of options,  I've narrowed it down to a 101 mini head or a Tone Block - any about?

Just in case you want to consider an Orange?
It's literally a back up amp, and can definitely drive a 2x12 loud enough for a gig.

Thanks for the offer @Grunfeld but I need something with a loop so I can also use as a power amp so the Quilters still look favourite.
