Dreadnought refinish costs - Pics Added (Eggle Koa)

I'm thinking of buying an older dreadnought which would need to be refinished to bring it back up a reasonable standard. However, I have no idea what this might cost. If anyone can offer some advice on this, I would be very grateful.

A very open question 
i had a neck re done with a blend and nitro finish, after a headstock break, for £125
full refinish by a pro? 600-£1000 maybe?
and it will cut the value in half. 
What is it? It’s very unusual to have it done. Either it’s to valuable and would severely effect the value or the cost far outweighs the value. 

you Could do it yourself with sandpaper and Tru oil for less than £20. 
I think I’ve been no help at all

i like the ‘relic’ look. All my guitars have it....

Hi @Andy79 ,thanks for your advice. I appreciate your help on this.

The reason i was even thinking of a refinish is because the guitar is a Patrick James Eggle Koa 'Skyland' model which I thought I'd take a punt on at a decent price. The bubbling doesn't seem too bad to put me off playing it and there are a few local luthiers who I think would do a good job of refinishing it if that's what I decide to do. The photos below illustrate the guitar and some of the surface finish issues.

That’s stunning. Koa guitars are gorgeous I have a Koa Stella and it’s a great sound. 
Im no pro but I think that could be repaired without total  refinishing

Does it have the Eggle pox? I saw one recently where the finish had reacted with the pore filler and more or less the whole guitar was bobbled all over. Very disconcerting! My concern would be that the refin might be difficult if the existing grain filler has to be removed as well...not sure a refin would always go back to totally bare wood.

'Eggle Pox' seems to be a fair description as the small blisters are indeed all over the front back and sides of the body, but not on the neck. It actually isn't especially ugly but, if I can, I'd like to get it fixed. I've done a little research online but haven't found anything about this. Can you tell me more about this problem? It sounds like it's happened in a number of cases. Thanks.

@Rebar ;I am told that Mr Eggle was using a specific type or batch of grain filler at one time which reacted with the nitro lacquer, realeasing some kind of gas as a result, which causes the bubbling. I think that probably every guitar Eggle made at that time will have the same issue. Guitarguitar have one on their site with the same thing.

You could contact Patrick Eggle directly and ask what can be done, he knows the details and will
be able to comment on a fix.

Thanks @Moe_Zambeek the acoustic on the GuitarGuitar website shows exactly the same effect which is on mine. It's interesting that PJE was using a grain filler which reacted in this way, especially given the reputation of his builds. I'll contact him to see what advice he might have and I'll also contact a few local luthiers to get a quote from them on refinishing, although my gut feeling at this stage is to just enjoy my new acquisition for what it is. Thanks again. :-)
