Will this cheap tap tempo switch work with an MXR echoplex?

    Yep, it should be OK... the Echoplex requires a normally open switch.

    I'd double check the requirements of the MXR, for instance Boss use a NC switch on a lot of stuff.  

    You most likely won't like the wrong one; it'll work, but on the lift rather than the press of the foot.  They probably make both?
