Friedman vs suhr

Anyone got any thoughts on the Friedman Runt 20 combo vs the Suhr Badger 18?

I found that the Suhr had plenty of gain, but didn't have the bite or punch of the friedman. It was a very smooth sounding amp in comparison.
I found the Runt a bit uninspiring at 1st but once you get the presence control over half way it really came alive. I'd like to try it again!!

Given his extra size and weight, my money would be on Friedman. Knockout in the 2nd round.

The Badger 30 (EL34) is punchier than the 18 (EL84) but I don't think it gets anywhere near the gain levels of the Runt.

The Badger series is mid gain really, but stick a Koko Boost in front, or an OD, and it’s awesome. And now of course there’s the new PT15 to consider

Thanks guys! I can get the Friedman a lot cheaper so maybe I’ll go with that! Anyone know if it’ll do that dynamic, edge of breakup thing the Badger seems to excell at?
