Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
I knew a fair amount about the story before I watched it, but I imagine it's a bit like Bohemian Rhapsody - diehard fans of Norwegian Black Metal might get annoyed by inaccurate details or errors in the chronology. I don't have that in-depth knowledge and watching it as a film, I thought it was excellent.
I don't see why anyone would want it banned. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

I'll watch it if it's on DVD.
It features the burning down of churches and the killing of a gay man. Maybe that's why people want it banned (the poor humourless, delicate little flowers).
The scenes in question aren't glamorised or presented as something to applaud or laugh at. There are a number of scenes in the film which I found disturbing, but feeling disturbed or horrified is like feeling happy or amused or all warm and fuzzy, they're all part of life. I don't want to ban any of them. Well, maybe the warm and fuzzy.
Sorry. I took you too literally. Sense of humour failure!

If they don't want the film to be watched by anyone, they should say it's endorsed by the Church of England and sanctified by the Pope. No-one would want to watch it after that.
